Meet PawPaw, a distinguished 9-year-old chihuahua mix who is ready to charm his way into your heart! PawPaw was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Bakersfield, arriving as a stray but quickly proving he's a seasoned pro at receiving and giving love. He's such a joy that he became the official office dog, excelling at cuddles, enjoying people time, and finding the perfect warm lap.

Now in his San Diego foster home, PawPaw is living his best life. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people, and he has a very clear vision for his ideal nap – perched atop a pillow, like the gentleman he is, surveying his domain.

PawPaw would love a warm home with cozy pillows where he can relax and be cherished.

Ongoing Health

PawPaw has a few fatty tumors, which are common in older dogs. These haven't slowed him down at all, and he remains happy, healthy, and full of love.

Training & Support

PawPaw is house-trained and enjoys being with people. He's a low-to-medium energy dog who would be suitable for an apartment.
