Lucky is a handsome, loyal, protective, and funny 2-year-old, 50 lb Pit Bull Terrier Mix. He came to us scared and underweight, but has blossomed into a confident dog with a big pittie grin and a proud wagging tail. Lucky is smart, eager to please, and loves attention almost as much as he loves snacks! He's healthy, happy, and full of love, energy, and charm – ready to be someone's best friend and shadow.
Ideal Home
Lucky would thrive in a home with a fenced yard for zoomies and security patrols. He needs humans who offer love, patience, and plenty of treats. A single-family home is preferred, as Lucky takes his role as protector seriously and will alert you to any uninvited guests, delivery drivers, or suspicious squirrels. He would do best as your one and only dog, but may be able to join a home with a young, submissive pup if his adopter has experience with careful introductions. He gets along great with kind, respectful kids who understand he’s still learning about personal space. While initially standoffish with cats, he has learned to coexist peacefully, and friendly cats get bonus points. He has lived around chickens, livestock guardian dogs, and Frenchies, and has learned that being second-in-command isn't so bad.

Training & Support
Lucky is crate trained, but has shown a knack for picking locks – though he stays close to home and returns when called. His leash manners are about 83% trained; he's great in a harness and loves walks but hasn't mastered the "heel" just yet. His potty training status is unknown as he has been outdoors, but he is super smart and a quick learner.

Lucky is located in Crescent, OK. He is eligible for adoption to pre-approved applicants in Oklahoma, Indiana, and many East coast destinations. Transport is available for out-of-state adoptions.
