Dottie

Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound female ready to find her forever home! She's a bundle of fun with a heart full of love to give. Dottie is a big fan of rope toys and stuffies, and she absolutely adores a good game of tug-o-war. When she's not playing, she's a professional-level cuddle bug who just wants to be by your side. She's intelligent, food-motivated, and a quick learner, making training a breeze. Dottie's goofy personality and zest for life are sure to bring endless laughter and joy to your home.

Ideal Home

Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home where she can get at least one good walk or play session daily. She would do best in a home without young males or boys, as she has had negative experiences with them. She is perfectly fine with adult men and does wonderfully when meeting women. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she prefers calm environments and does best with one or two dogs. Alternatively, she would also be content as the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Dottie is fully potty trained and crate trained, doing well even when left to free roam. She can pull on leash and bark when she sees other dogs, but with positive reinforcement and continued training, she can learn to manage these behaviors. Her foster mom notes she is eager to please and picks up on training quickly, especially with treats!

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX, and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter once a home is secured.
