A little about them
Chance is a loving, highly intelligent Anatolian Shepherd and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is ready for an active, devoted home. He enjoys hiking, fetch, car rides, and having a purposeful “job.” Chance knows “sit,” “give paw,” and “down,” and responds well to positive reinforcement, belly rubs, and treats.
Ideal Home
Chance would thrive with a single person or couple who can provide one-on-one engagement, daily exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. An experienced owner familiar with smart, working breeds would be ideal. A fenced yard would be helpful, though consistent leash walks are also suitable. Chance walks nicely on leash but may pull when overly excited, so redirection is important. Because of his size and strength, a home with children over 12 is recommended.
Ongoing Health
Chance is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has a soft, fluffy coat and an expressive face. Daily exercise and mental stimulation are important for his well-being. The adopter is responsible for updating his microchip registration, which costs $19.99 annually or $45 for lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Chance is eager to learn and please. He already knows several basic commands and should respond well to additional positive-reinforcement training. He enjoys playing with dogs of a similar size. Cats are unknown.
