Meet Ivan! This handsome year-and-a-half-old, 50-pound goofball is a pittie/staffy-mix with a heart as big as his radar-dish ears. Ivan is pure enthusiasm and charm, always ready for a good time. He's a toy enthusiast who loves everything from squeaky toys to a large herding ball that he proudly body-checks. Fetch is his favorite game, though he might decide to keep the ball sometimes! He also has a blast playing in water and will enthusiastically chomp at a hose.
Ivan is a sweet and affectionate boy who warms up quickly. While he may seem a little aloof at first, once he bonds with you, he melts into a cuddle bug who loves belly rubs and snuggles, often trying to fit his 50 pounds into your lap. He's treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a fun and rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playtime but can also set boundaries when he gets too excited. He needs a home without cats, as he views them as fun little sprinting targets. Older children who can handle a bouncy companion during zoomies would be a great fit, and with time and guidance, he could learn to give younger children space. A yard to burn off energy, an active adopter, and someone who enjoys training and play with clear boundaries and routine would be ideal for Ivan.
Ongoing Health
Ivan is a healthy boy.
Training & Support
Ivan is still learning to read social cues with other dogs. He gets along wonderfully with playful and confident dogs but can be a bit much for mellow or insecure dogs due to his big, bouncy nature. With gentle guidance from his people or other dogs, he is happy to take breaks and check in.
