About Andy

Meet Andy: Your Dog’s New Best Friend (and Yours Too!)

Andy is a 2-year-old Retriever mix, weighing in at a perfect 50/55 lbs. He’s a resilient and loving dog who was abandoned in Texas with his siblings but was thankfully rescued. With stability and kindness, Andy has blossomed into the affectionate dog he is today and is ready for his forever family. He’s a total gentleman at home, house-trained, crate-trained, and has settled beautifully into his foster home. Andy may be a little shy at first with new people, but he’s respectful, adaptable, and his soft, affectionate personality will shine through. He loves routine, companionship, and being part of the action, whether it’s walks, playing with friends, or just relaxing nearby. He walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and is eager to please. Andy is the kind of dog who may not demand the spotlight, but once he’s yours, you’ll wonder how your life ever felt complete without him.

Ideal Home

Andy thrives in a calm, loving environment. His dream home would include another dog for him to pal around with, as he absolutely adores other pups and truly shines in their company. People who appreciate a loyal, kindhearted companion would be a great fit. A yard is a bonus, but his biggest requirement is love, consistency, and a canine buddy to share life with. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended.
