Meet Rac, the raccoony pooch! This 62 lb husky mix was born around March 11, 2023. Rac earned his cute nickname from his adorable raccoon-like markings. He's an outgoing and active guy who exudes happiness, especially when he has plenty of playtime with his doggy friends or his foster dad. He loves going on long walks and embarking on new adventures, and while he's not a fan of getting into the car, he enjoys the ride once he's in! Rac was rescued during a winter freeze after being found roaming and needing shelter. Thankfully, his fate changed when his foster dad rescued him. Rac even spent some time with a trainer to help him adjust to indoor living. He's doing wonderfully in his foster home with his canine siblings, but he's a bit too energetic for kitties. His foster dad says he's very sweet and adores all the attention he can get.
Ideal Home
Rac would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy hikes, play with energetic pals, and cuddle with his loved ones. He's eager to try new things and is a great car rider! He's a fun-loving sweetheart ready for a forever family who will offer him patience and unconditional love.

Rac is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Rac is kennel and potty trained. He's also dog-friendly.

Rac is located in Houston, Texas. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be coordinated to your state or a neighboring state. Pickup locations may vary. We use ground transport services and provide tracking via the Life360 app and Facebook chat groups.
