Opal

Opal is a sweet and loving kelpie mix, about a year old and weighing just over 50 lbs. She came to us as a young puppy with her mom and siblings from a local animal control facility. While her mom, a wonderful kelpie mix, has found her forever home, Opal has a special need. She has a wedge-shaped vertebra in her spine that causes it to curve. A specialist has advised that this condition will likely lead to her needing a wheelchair in about 3+ years. Despite this, Opal is a happy and delightful dog who is excellent with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and is great in her crate at night. We know there is a special person out there who will fall in love with Opal and give her the wonderful life she deserves.
