Victoria is a approximately 5-year-old, 48 lb female Husky mix with a heart full of love to give! She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, where she was found hungry, tired, and thirsty. After being brought into a home, she slept for two days straight, slowly adjusting to her new life. Victoria has overcome severe malnutrition and is now a healthy, happy girl. She is a sociable, confident, and noble dog who adores people, enjoys playtime, and loves to be cuddled. Despite her past hardships, she remains grateful and affectionate, showing off a beautiful smile.
Ideal Home
Victoria would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and active families who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and long walks. Her ideal home will have owners with an understanding of rescue animals and their need for protection and education, as well as experience in dog behavior and training. She requires a high level of tolerance and patience from her new family. She is NOT house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Victoria is missing most of her teeth, with only three molars remaining. The vet believes this may be due to past severe malnutrition. She has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She is up-to-date on monthly preventives for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Victoria is crate and leash trained. She has a tendency to win food from other animals and can sometimes cause fights over it, so she needs to eat in her crate. She is described as loyal and eager to please, benefiting from continued positive reinforcement and consistent guidance.
