Maddie

Maddie is a sweet and affectionate 3.5-year-old, 58 lb Retriever/Shepherd mix who loves a little pampering! She enjoys gentle belly rubs, having her blonde coat brushed, and getting ear rubs. Maddie was rescued as a momma in distress and survived emergency surgery that saved her and some of her pups. Now that her pups have all found their forever homes, Maddie is ready to find her own special place. She arrived practically house-trained and loves going for walks, and would likely enjoy a hike, especially in a cooler climate. Maddie has met older children and done very well with them. She's a couch potato at heart and would be fine with an adopter who is away during the day, as she enjoys napping. Maddie adjusts to change easily, proving herself on an extended sleepover with a different foster home. If you're looking for a low-maintenance girl, Maddie is definitely your pup!

Ideal Home

Maddie would need to be the only dog in the home, though she seems okay with some dogs when outside the home.

Ongoing Health

Maddie survived emergency surgery, but all her medical needs have been met. Her adoption donation includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, and microchip.

Training & Support

Maddie is practically house-trained and enjoys walks.

Maddie is currently located in South Texas and can be transported to her new home within the United States and Canada. Our organization delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast, with placement in your adoptive family's home.
