Jimmy, a 1.5-year-old neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix weighing around 45 pounds, is a bundle of joy looking for his forever family! He's currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to his new home once an adopter is matched. Jimmy has two main modes: full-throttle playtime and full-on snuggle bug. He wakes up every day excited to make friends, both human and canine, greeting everyone with a furiously wagging tail. He's playful, curious, and loves a good game of fetch or tug-of-war.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he receives plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. While a yard is a plus, engagement and companionship are what matter most. He'd be a great fit for someone who works from home or an active family eager to include him in their daily lives. Another playful dog who enjoys high-energy play could be a wonderful companion for him. He is likely to do well with respectful older children, but may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision. He has not been tested with cats, but may chase at this stage.
Ongoing Health
Jimmy is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Jimmy is house-trained and is making great progress with crate training. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with another dog. He's still working on his leash manners as he can pull when excited and is very curious about his surroundings, but he is food and praise motivated and eager to learn. There are no concerns about resource guarding.
