Gina is an 8-month-old, 56lb spayed female Belgian Malinois mix with a heart of gold and a playful spirit! She was found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box by a busy road, but she's blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find her forever family. Gina adores her furry friends and loves a good game of tug-of-war with her smaller canine siblings. While she can be a bit shy around unfamiliar, larger dogs due to a past negative experience, she currently thrives with both small (under 15 lbs) and large (over 75 lbs) dogs in her foster home. She's a bit too excited by neighborhood kitties, so a cat-free home is recommended. Gina is a toy enthusiast who loves to gather her treasures in her bed and has mastered the game of fetch, though she's also happy to entertain herself.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She can be jumpy when excited and is unaware of her size, so a home with older, dog-savvy children (10+) would be ideal. A family with another dog would be wonderful to keep her company and help her channel her puppy energy. Adopters should be prepared to provide consistent socialization, positive training, and plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and enrichment, as she is expected to grow into a large, active dog.

Training & Support
Gina is crate trained and successfully holds it for up to 8 hours. She is working on house training. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat treats alone and is in a "puppy velociraptor stage," so she will need guidance on appropriate chew items.
