Gordy is a 9-year-old, 50-pound, possible English Pointer mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. This handsome senior boy can be quite shy when meeting new people and adjusting to new surroundings, so he'll need a patient family willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Once Gordy realizes he's home and can trust you, his sweet personality begins to shine, and he quickly learns that pets and affection are pretty wonderful. Gordy would thrive in a quiet, low-key home where life moves at a relaxed pace. He gets along well with other dogs and would likely do fine with cats as well. He's also very well-behaved in his crate and settles in nicely when given a consistent routine. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, Gordy had a few accidents when he first arrived in foster care. However, once he became comfortable and settled into a schedule, those accidents stopped and he has done very well. With patience, understanding, and a little time to decompress, Gordy blossoms into a loyal companion who simply wants a peaceful place to call home.
