Tucker Teddy is an approximately 1-year-old, 58 lb lab mix with the most enchanting angel eyes and a face that looks like it jumped right out of a cartoon! He’s a rescue, so we can’t guarantee his exact breed or age, but we do know he’s a real-life heart-stealer. Tucker Teddy is the perfect balance of affectionate and independent; he’ll happily lean in for pets, curl up beside you, and quietly follow you around, letting you know he’s there without being overbearing. He just wants to be a part of your life and stay connected to his people.
Ideal Home
Tucker Teddy would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can play and explore. While he was wonderfully gentle and calm around a 5-year-old, he’s not suited for overwhelming chaos. A home with kind children who understand a dog's need for space and calm will be ideal. He would also greatly benefit from living with another confident dog who can help him continue building his confidence and provide a playmate. He met a resident cat and was respectful, but a cat sleepover can be arranged to ensure a good fit.
Ongoing Health
Tucker Teddy is a healthy boy who has received all necessary vetting, including DAPP vaccinations, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. He has been spayed/neutered and microchipped.
Training & Support
Tucker Teddy is still gaining confidence and learning about the world, so a patient and understanding home is key. While he’s not shut down, new experiences like the vacuum cleaner can cause him to pause and observe. Having another dog in the home will greatly assist in his confidence-building journey. He is described as having a gentle, calm energy and is eager to please.
