Hi there! My name is Opie, and as you can see from my picture, I am a certified, grade-A, 100% purebred couch hippo. 🦛❤️ I’m about 5 to 7 years old, which means I am the absolute perfect age. I have a big heart, an even bigger personality, and I am ready to find my forever family! I’m a stubbornly sweet pittie who likes to do things at my own pace, but I form incredibly strong bonds with my people. Once I trust you, I am intensely loyal and affectionate in my own special way. I really enjoy attention and will often lean all my weight right into you for pets when I'm in the mood! I have a super goofy side that shows up in my expressions and the way I move through the world. I bring a lot of character to every room I walk into! My friends say I can be a bit headstrong at times, but honestly, that’s just part of what makes me so endearing and fun to get to know.

Ongoing Health
I do have heartworms, but please don't let that scare you away! My rescue friends are going to fully cover 100% of my treatment expenses through an approved veterinarian. All you need to provide is a cozy place for me to nap, follow my routine, and heal while I get better. 🩺 I am already neutered and fully up-to-date on all my vaccines.

I’m a very polite gentleman who does amazing once I settle into a routine! 🏡 I can be a bit headstrong at times, but that’s just part of what makes me so endearing and fun to get to know.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Every dog with Wilder Souls Rescue receives thorough veterinary care before adoption. Each pup is examined by our vet and treated for age-appropriate needs. This typically includes:
- Full health exam
- Deworming
- Core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP series, Rabies)
- Microchipping
- Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
- All of our dogs live in loving foster homes, where they can decompress, learn routines, and prepare for a smooth transition into their forever families.
