Around 3 years old, she absolutely thrives on affection and will greet everyone like a long-lost family member, showering them with tail wiggles and face kisses. She's your ultimate cuddle buddy and shadow, always ready to lean in for scratches and make your day magical with her sweet, attention-seeking hops and dramatic belly-up poses. Her lovable and slightly dramatic personality makes every moment with her entertaining.
Mygena Hyena isn't just a snuggler; she's an adventure enthusiast! Her foster raves about her love for being active, making her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys exploring. She's enthusiastic about walks, hikes, and joining you for trips to the farmers market, patio hangs, or road trips. She strikes a perfect balance between "let's go do stuff!" and "let's cuddle for hours." She walks nicely on leash, staying connected and pleasant to her handler. Socially, Mygena Hyena is incredibly chill with other dogs, politely greeting them before returning to her main objective: being adorable. She lives harmoniously with multiple dogs and handles all temperaments beautifully. Her foster does note that she can sometimes play too enthusiastically with very small dogs, so canine companions around 20 pounds and up would be ideal. During assessments, she was polite and aloof with a calmer small dog.
Ideal Home
Mygena Hyena dreams of a home where she's an integral part of everyday life. She wants to go on adventures, receive plenty of love, follow you around, supervise snack time, and then curl up beside you. She absolutely cannot live with cats. While she's incredibly affectionate and we can kid-test her, her tendency to gently jump up for affection and her larger size mean a home with children would need careful consideration to ensure a good fit for everyone.

We offer nationwide transport through our USDA-certified rescue transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
