Athena, at approximately 1 year old (estimated DOB May 2025), is a spayed female Terrier mix weighing around 35 pounds. She's a vibrant, curious, and affectionate young dog with a playful personality, known for her zoomies and loving spirit. Athena and her siblings were found abandoned in the woods, but she has blossomed in foster care, showing great maturity while still embracing her playful puppy energy. She loves interacting with other dogs and is learning social cues, making her a great candidate for a home with a canine companion. Athena is eager to please and has already mastered commands like sit, down, drop it, and come, demonstrating her intelligence and trainability.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active household that can provide plenty of daily exercise and mental enrichment. She needs a home with an abundance of appropriate chew toys to satisfy her chewing phase and a family committed to continued training and structure. While she adores dogs of all sizes and is learning to respect their boundaries, a home without cats might be ideal, or one with a very cat-savvy individual and slow, patient introductions, as she may try to engage them similarly to how she plays with dogs.
