King has a high energy level, rating a solid 10 out of 10, and loves to run and be active. Despite his energy, he's also described as sweet, quiet, and gentle. He's a well-rounded companion who is friendly with people, children, and other dogs. King is fairly self-sufficient and not a high-maintenance dog. He's smart, has good common sense, and follows directions well. He's not a big barker but will alert you to anything unusual. While he enjoys meals and treats, he doesn't have a high food or prey drive. King is not overly affectionate, but his gentle head rubs are sure to melt your heart. He is crate and house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He doesn't show signs of storm or separation anxiety.
