Maximus is a deeply loving, affectionate seven-year-old dog who has spent years waiting for a safe, quiet home. He adores snuggling, enjoys peaceful woodland walks, and loves solving treat puzzles. Max is clever, loyal, funny, housetrained, and weighs 70 pounds.

Ideal Home

Max needs a quiet adult home where he can be the only pet, with predictable days and people he trusts. He startles easily and can feel overwhelmed by crowded trails, busy neighborhoods, bicycles, joggers, and strollers. A securely fenced yard will help him feel comfortable when the world outside feels too busy.

Training & Support

Max has made extraordinary progress with a force-free trainer and Animal Aid Society volunteers. His adopter will be supported in continuing to work with the trainer Max already knows and trusts. He is housetrained and enjoys enrichment such as treat puzzles.
