About JOY (Very Sweet, Kind, Loves All She Meets, Dogs, Adults, Kids, Happy, Loving)

Hi, I'm Joy!

I'm a happy, loving, and affectionate 1-year-old Black Lab/Pit Bull Terrier mix. I weigh about 44 pounds and I'm spayed and microchipped. My brother George and I found ourselves looking for love in a small-town park, and we were so happy to greet everyone we met! After a stay at the local pound, we landed in a wonderful foster home where we're thriving. The vet even said I was so happy, "Joy" was the perfect name for me!

I'm a house-trained, crate-trained girl who loves car rides and minds well. I'm doing great on leash and enjoy all kinds of adventures, from hikes to just exploring the neighborhood. I get along wonderfully with my foster's dogs and even the cat doesn't bother me. I absolutely adore children and people – it’s what drew me to that park in the first place! I thrive on attention and companionship, and I love resting my head on my foster's lap to make sure I'm being a good girl.

My brother George and I have a special bond and love spending time together. We'd make an amazing pair if you're looking for two companions (and there's a reduced adoption fee for both!), but we're also confident and social enough to adjust well to separate homes.

Ideal Home

I'd love a family that enjoys life's simple pleasures, whether that's camping trips, hiking, neighborhood walks, or just snuggling on the couch. I'm social, friendly, and always ready for the next adventure!

Ongoing Health

I'm spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on my shots.

Training & Support

I'm house-trained and crate-trained. I also mind very well and am doing okay on leash.
