Bear

Bear is an adorable, sweet senior lab mix who is 10 years old and weighs 50 pounds. He was rescued from a local municipal shelter and came to us with a severe skin issue due to neglect. After weeks of medicated baths and antibiotics, his skin has greatly improved and his fur is starting to grow back, but he will need continued care as skin issues can take time to heal. During his medical evaluation, we also discovered he is heartworm positive. Bear is a loving boy who gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. He is so worth it, and if you can provide him with the patience and TLC he needs during his golden years, he will be your most loyal companion.

Bear would thrive in a home that can provide him with continued care for his skin and heartworm treatment. He gets along well with dogs, cats, and children.

Ongoing Health

Bear is currently being treated for a severe skin issue and is heartworm positive. SASF will cover all of Bear's heartworm treatment and skin care needs until he is fully healed.

Training & Support

Bear is a sweet boy who loves everyone he meets. He has no known behavioral issues that need work.
