Chippy

Meet Chippy, a sweet little dog who is learning to trust humans again. He arrived at our rescue after being dumped at a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. The shelter staff noted he was shutting down from fear and asked for our help. Sadly, Chippy had a rough past and was caught with a catch pole, making anything around his neck a source of terror. Initially, he was too fearful to even wear a collar. However, with patient and gentle introductions, Chippy has begun to blossom. He now happily accepts a collar, walks on a leash, and showers his foster mom with kisses. He even enjoys playtime with other dogs. Chippy has clearly formed a bond with his foster mom and is looking for a special person to call his own.

Ideal Home

Chippy needs a patient and dog-savvy individual or family who understands that trust is earned. He needs to move at his own pace and will thrive with someone who celebrates every small victory.

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but he has recently been fitted with a collar.

Training & Support

Chippy is still learning to trust, so patience and gentle guidance are key. He is not a mean dog, just a frightened one who is learning to feel safe.
