MINGO

Sweet Sensitive Mingo is an approximately 7-year-old, 80 lb Labrador mix with a heart full of love to give. He was found abandoned in a dangerous rural area and, after a difficult rescue, Mingo was initially fearful and resentful. However, with patient care, he has blossomed into a happy, sensitive, and incredibly loving companion. He adores food, treats, belly rubs, and cuddles, melting into a big, happy puppy when receiving affection. Mingo is curious about cats and has not shown aggression towards them. He is housebroken and crate trained, and while he's made great strides in learning about indoor living, he will need a slow and gentle transition into a new home.

Ideal Home

Mingo would thrive in a calm, retirement-style home where he can continue to feel safe and loved. He gets scared by loud noises, fast movements, and sudden approaches. Because of this, he is looking for a home without small children. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but they must be gentle and not rush him or jump on his face.

Ongoing Health

Mingo has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Mingo is housebroken and crate trained. He requires a patient and gentle approach to help him continue to adjust to new situations and build confidence.
