Darla

Come meet Darla, a sweet and reserved sweetheart who is ready to find her forever home! She's a smart cookie who loves to play with her dog pals and humans, and enjoys exploring on leash. Darla was doing great in DC and loved the dog park, and she's now enjoying a foster home in the suburbs of Virginia. She's a bit cautious but warms up quickly and has a knack for making new friends. Her foster notes that she's a gentle soul with a lot of personality, and she'll make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates her unique charm.

Ideal Home

Darla would love a home where people are around often, as she gets nervous when left alone. A friendly canine companion would be ideal to keep her company. While she's very sweet, she can be a little nervous around lots of activity and noise, so she may not be the best fit for very young children.

Ongoing Health

Darla's adoption fee includes her spay/neuter and microchip. She is up-to-date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

Training & Support

Darla is approximately 99.9% housetrained and knows to go in her crate. She is very smart and will learn quickly! She gets nervous when left alone, so a home with another dog is recommended. It's also advised to feed her in her crate as she doesn't like to share her food. Be prepared for her persistent, yet adorable, morning wake-up routine!
