Meet Rex, your big, gray, gentle companion!

Rex is a four-year-old, silver-gray Pitty or Staffy mix with the softest face, the sweetest eyes, and one adorable white chest spot that looks like he's wearing a tiny tuxedo. While age and breed are always our best guess with rescue dogs, we know for certain that Rex is an incredibly special boy with a heart as big as he is. His foster absolutely gushes about him, sharing that her favorite thing about Rex is that he is always happy and truly goes with the flow of whatever the day brings. Rex approaches life with an easy, joyful attitude that makes him such a pleasure to have around – he's a big, soft house hippo who knows how to chill.

Ideal Home

Rex would be happy as a solo dog, soaking up all the love as someone's one and only. He would also be perfectly happy with a medium to low-energy, respectful canine companion. He is apartment-friendly, quiet, gentle, and low-key.

Ongoing Health

Rex is a healthy boy.

Training & Support

Rex is fully potty trained and crate trained. He enjoys his daily leash walks and walks nicely when you are moving, though he is always happy to pause for a good sniff. He loves toys, especially Kongs and a good game of tug of war. He is treat-motivated and eager to please.

Rex is located in Texas and can be transported to various drop-off locations nationwide, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Transport is available with a surcharge.
