Gene is the kind of dog people are always searching for… the easy one. The calm one. The one who just fits. At 5 years old and 30 lbs, this adorable Beagle/Catahoula mix (our best guess!) has an incredible temperament and a heart that revolves around his people. Gene is potty trained, crate trained, dog door trained, and wonderful on leash. He's great with dogs, cats, kids, and people, and always ready for a car ride! But more than anything, Gene loves companionship. He thrives being close to his humans and would do best in a home where someone is home more often than not. He also really enjoys having another dog around and would love a canine buddy in his forever home. He’s calm, affectionate, cuddly, and incredibly easy to live with. Whether you’re running errands, relaxing at home, or heading out for an adventure, Gene just wants to be included. Toys, he likes to self-entertain with and to pick them out himself. He’s the kind of dog that quietly becomes your best friend before you even realize it. All he needs is someone to give him a chance.
