Panda is a shy but sweet two-year-old, 50-pound Pittie mix who loves nothing more than to hang out with his favorite chew bone. He is a rescue who will reward you endlessly with unconditional love and gratitude. Panda is named for his black and white coat and his mellow nature. He loves toys, chew bones, and his daily walks, and he thrives on routine and structure. He is a perfect doggy pal and is your dog's best friend, especially if your dog is a goofy, playful female. He draws confidence from other dogs and would do best in a home with multiple dogs. Panda was previously fostered in a home with children aged five and up and did well with them, but he would do best with respectful and sweet children. Panda loves to snuggle and will inch closer to you on the couch until he's right next to you. He is kennel trained and house-trained.
Ideal Home
Panda would thrive in a quiet and serene suburban or rural home, preferably off the beaten path. He needs to be in a home with another dog and we do not recommend him for a home with cats. He would do best with children aged five and up who are respectful and sweet.
Ongoing Health
Panda is up to date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been heartworm tested.
Training & Support
Panda is leash-trained and a seasoned professional passenger in cars. He has been kennel trained and house-trained. He will require a patient adopter who will allow him a full decompression period. Our behavior team and foster mom will be available to provide insight and advice.

Transporation
Panda is located in Texas and can be transported to you via our USDA licensed vehicles with 24/7 care. We facilitate adoptions across the US, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT). There will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport.
