Rex is tall, dark, and handsome! He is a bubbly, outgoing guy who loves to run around and play, sit for treats, and hang with his people. He wants nothing more than validation that he is a good boy, and with Rex, you get guaranteed kisses 24/7! He is an absolute favorite of many volunteers, especially since he climbs into laps easily, thinking he's a lap dog at nearly 70 lbs! Rex was rescued as a stray and has not had an easy start. He fell into the wrong hands at some point in his life and has been betrayed by the people that were supposed to protect him. He is now ready to find his forever person or people that he can share all his love with. Rex has been to several adoption events and done exceptionally well. He went with his rescue buddies to an Astro’s watch party at a local bar and was so sweet and happy to be there, getting lots of hugs and kisses from visitors and loving every minute of it. He has also accompanied volunteers to dinner at a dog-friendly restaurant with his best buddy Bambi, patiently laying under the table, people-watching and loving on the volunteers.

Training & Support
Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is dog selective, liking the girls and being friendly with proper introductions. He has a trainer discount available through Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

Transporation
Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included and pickup locations may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. Adopters can track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates, or join Facebook chats for transport information.
