Sussy is an approximately 3-year-old, 60-pound Labrador mix who was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas. She's a dog who radiates happiness with a perpetually smiling face and a joyful, loving personality that's impossible to resist. Sussy is incredibly loyal, polite, and intelligent, forming strong bonds with her favorite people. If you're looking for a playful, energetic, and athletic companion for hiking, running, camping, or just enjoying the outdoors, Sussy is your girl! She's already crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and rides well in the car, making her an easygoing companion for daily life and weekend escapades. Sussy has waited long enough for a loving family to call her own. In return, she promises endless smiles, unwavering loyalty, and a lifetime of unforgettable memories.
Ideal Home
Sussy would thrive with an active family that enjoys including their dog in everyday activities. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. Families should have an open conscience about the needs of rescued street animals and understand their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is a plus, as is high tolerance and patience for rescued pups. Sussy is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Sussy has received the following treatments: Spay/Neuter, DHPPI Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Dewormed, Heartworm test Negative, and has a Health Certificate and Vaccines booklet.
Training & Support
Sussy is not house-trained. Please note that due to the large number of foster pets, it's impossible to house-train each one. The rescue invests significant time and effort into the physical and emotional rehabilitation of their animals.

- You will need to complete an online application to help us find the perfect match for your lifestyle and family dynamic.
- A phone/email interview will be scheduled to discuss your application.
- A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted to ensure a safe and suitable environment.
- A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged with you, the prospective pup, and the foster home.
- A trial adoption period will be offered, with ongoing communication required.
Transportation
Sussy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. The transport fee is $400.00 and is paid by the adopter prior to departure.
