Daffy is a two-year-old, 65-pound, neutered male Plott Hound Mix who is ready to fill your life with fun and companionship! He was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, just in the nick of time. Thanks to Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his amazing foster mom, Daffy is now looking for his furever family. This happy-go-lucky pup loves to play and is always up for an adventure. He adores other dogs and even made the honor roll at doggy daycare! Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. While his compatibility with cats is unknown, Daffy is a big boy who sometimes forgets his own strength when he gets excited, so a home with children over 10 would be ideal.
Daffy is already house-trained and crate-trained, and he sees his crate as his special spot for meals. He's a food lover who uses a slow feeder bowl to savor every bite. Daffy also knows his name and will come running when called. He enjoys playing fetch and loves to be by his person's side.

Training & Support
Daffy is still working on his leash manners and can pull and zigzag. He also has a tendency to "relocate" household items to the yard when unsupervised, so crating him while you're away is recommended. With patience and consistent training, he'll continue to grow into a wonderful companion.

Transportation
