Piper Parker - Local Lady who likes dogs and cats

Piper Parker is a charming 4-year-old Coonhound mix, weighing about 40 pounds. She's a real sweetheart who loves to be by her human's side, a true "velcro pup"! Piper was previously in a home that welcomed a new baby, and sadly, her previous family felt they couldn't give her the full attention she craves and deserves. They know the perfect family is out there for her!

Ideal Home

Piper would thrive in a kid-free home where she can be the center of attention. She's also a big fan of feline friends and gets along wonderfully with cats. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she'd do best with a calm resident pup who can help build her confidence, as she can be a bit submissive.

Ongoing Health

Piper is currently managed with medication for Masticatory Muscle Myositis and takes Prednisolone. She also eats Natural Balance limited ingredient salmon kibble and biscuits to help manage her condition. All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations and are spayed or neutered at the time of adoption.

Training & Support

This bright girl is already house-trained and crate-trained, and she knows basic commands. While she can be a little anxious in new situations and when meeting new people, she settles in quickly with treats and a little patience. She does tend to get a bit "kangaroo-like" with excitement around meal times, treats, or bananas, and her greetings can be enthusiastic, but she's not aggressive. Professional training is recommended to help her become the best companion she can be.
