Shana Grace the Brindle Beauty

Meet Shana Grace, affectionately known as Gracie! Gracie is a beautiful brindle girl with soulful puppy-dog eyes and adorable floppy ears. At approximately 4 years old, she's a loving and calm companion ready to find her forever home. We believe she's a Lab and Plott Hound mix, but as a rescue, we can't be certain of her exact lineage. What we are sure of is her sweet nature and her abundant love to give.

Ideal Home

Gracie would thrive in a home where she can enjoy leisurely strolls and plenty of nap time. She's a couch potato at heart and loves to snuggle up next to her favorite people. She would likely be wonderful with children due to her patient and gentle demeanor. Her mellow personality makes her suitable for an apartment or a home with a yard, as long as she has a comfortable spot to relax and sunbathe.

Ongoing Health

Gracie is a healthy girl who has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is up-to-date on all her preventative care.

Training & Support

Gracie is already house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. She is treat-motivated, making her an eager learner, and would likely pick up new tricks quickly with a patient family. While she's a bit shy with new dogs at first, she tends to relax and can even join in play on her own terms. Her cat test was inconclusive due to distractions, but she showed no signs of aggression. Further testing can be arranged to assess her compatibility with felines.

Transportation

Gracie is currently located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Specific drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
