Duncan

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, a 1-year-old, 19-pound charmer with a heart full of love and a whole lot of Chihuahua in his DNA! He absolutely adores his squeaky toys, enjoys playful romps with other dogs, and lives for petting and attention. Duncan is a quiet and well-behaved companion, showing promise with house training and leash manners, though he could benefit from a bit more guidance.

Ideal Home

Duncan would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of affection and playtime. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms upon rescue and has completed treatment according to The American Heartworm Society protocols. We typically see dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months post-treatment. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Canine Influenza), and are on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is generally well-behaved and seems to be pretty house-trained. He does pretty well on a leash but could use a little more training to perfect his skills.
