Meet Sandy! Sandy is a one-year-old Lab/Pit Bull mix with a beautiful silvery-gray coat, an award-winning smile, and a heart devoted to her people. She adores children of all ages and loves to be part of every family activity, from playtime to quiet evenings. Sandy is a toy enthusiast who enjoys carrying them around, playing fetch, and showing them off. She also gets adorable zoomies, especially when she's excited to start the day. She's incredibly food-motivated and eager to learn new things. Sandy is a great crate companion and a good passenger in the car, though she prefers spending time at home with her family. She gets along well with other dogs, particularly smaller ones, and has even lived harmoniously with chickens. Sandy is a sensitive soul who may be unsure when receiving direct attention from new people, but with patience and understanding, her sweet and loyal personality shines through.
Ideal Home
Sandy would thrive in a home with a patient, dog-savvy adopter who can read her body language and respect her boundaries. She appreciates relationships that develop at her pace and prefers quality over quantity when it comes to attention. A home with a yard would be ideal for her to play and explore. While she loves children, they are not a requirement, as she can form strong bonds with adults.

Sandy is located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions with our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
