Jericho

I’m Jericho, a 3-year-old, 54-pound tan pit bull with a big heart and a quiet nature. I’m already neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and crate trained. I’m a gentle soul who rarely barks, which is one of my best qualities! I even put myself to bed if my kennel door is left open. I’m great with children 5 and up, but I can get scared by younger kids and toddlers, so a home with older children is best. I also do well with other dogs, but my curiosity around cats means I’d do best in a cat-free home.

Training & Support

I've completed a four-week training program and my foster has continued my training. I’m not a dog for a first-time owner and require an experienced adopter who is confident, consistent, and committed to continuing my training. I can be pushy, mouthy, and I jump up when excited. I also need to learn door manners as I tend to shove my way through when excited. I am a power chewer and will need sturdy toys like Nylabones. I thrive with structure, exercise, and mental stimulation through puzzle toys.
