Louie

Louie is a sweet 2-year-old Chiweenie who is looking for his new family. He was a devoted companion to his owner during hospice and is now ready to bring his love to a new home. Louie is a bit shy and can be startled by loud noises. He has premature cataracts that do not currently impede his vision, but they will progress as he ages, eventually leading to blindness. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and flea, tick, and heartworm medications. His adoption will be finalized after he is neutered, and he is available for a Foster to Adopt arrangement.

Ideal Home

Louie would do best in a home that is calm and can provide him with a quiet environment. Given his shyness around loud noises, a peaceful household would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Louie has premature cataracts that are expected to progress over time, eventually leading to blindness. He is current on all vaccines and preventative medications. He will be scheduled for a neuter surgery.

Training & Support

Louie is shy and afraid of loud noises, so he will need a patient and understanding family to help him feel secure.
