Cleopatra was an Egyptian queen known for her sharp intellect and political skills. Our Cleopatra isn’t very interested in politics, but she’s smart enough to know that she deserves to be treated like the royalty she’s named for! She loved sleeping close to her foster person at night, is well-behaved when left home alone and snoozes the day away, and is house-trained. She is cuddly, attentive, eager for treats, and a quick learner. Cleo is always nearby and waits so patiently for you to come out of a closed room. When you let her, she would love to sit on one or two people and receive pets. If she can't be on you, she would like to be sleeping with maybe at least one part of her (usually her butt) touching you. Cleo is very engaged in training with treats; she loves any and all treats, except for baby carrots. Cleo is a sweet and chill older dog, and she's eager to learn new things. Volunteers at the shelter love Cleopatra! She leashed up easily and immediately did her business when they got outside. In the yard, she stayed right by their feet for snuggles and gave them lots of licks and kisses. She takes treats gently and knows the sit command. She is a sweet and gentle little senior girl with the cutest little underbite. She was excited to be going for a walk and was polite while being leashed. She began pulling as they exited the building; it turns out she loves another volunteer who was standing several feet away. Once she got to say “hello” she settled quickly. In the yard she leaned in for affection. Cleopatra is a senior gal who is looking for a safe and comfy retirement home. Her wild puppy days are behind her and she’s hoping to spend her golden years relaxing and taking it slow. Cleopatra is ready to give her whole heart to you- come meet her today!
