Oscar is a sweet and joyful 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs 32 lbs. He's a social butterfly who instantly builds trust with everyone he meets, including children, men, and women. Oscar loves being around people and enjoys playtime with other dogs. His friendly personality makes him an easy dog to fall in love with.
Ideal Home
Oscar would thrive in an active home with a fenced backyard where he can enjoy outdoor activities. He's looking for a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the needs of street animals and their requirement for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. A high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are also essential.
Ongoing Health
Oscar has a minor neurological tic due to distemper, which is noticeable when he's resting. This condition does not affect his happy life or loving nature. He has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and rabies vaccines, bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. He also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Oscar is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs often require an adjustment period due to past experiences, and may have fears or anxieties. Patience, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries are crucial for helping Oscar build trust and adapt.

- If approved, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transportation
Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time transport fee of $400 USD. Our transport process includes scheduled trips with a partnered company, comprehensive paperwork (including a USDA Health Certificate), and real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group. The transport team will deliver your pet directly to your home and conduct a final home review.
