Meet Dahlia! This gorgeous 44lb Black Lab Mix, born around May 5, 2023, is bursting with puppy energy and has a heart as big as her spirit. Dahlia is a fun-loving, sweet girl who is always up for an adventure, a cozy cuddle, or making a new friend. She's eager to learn, adores being around people, and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats.

Dahlia's story is truly remarkable. She was found bravely protecting her six-week-old puppies under a house. Thankfully, rescue stepped in, her puppies found loving homes, and just as her own future looked grim, a foster stepped up and changed her life forever. Now, safe and thriving, this happy pup is ready for the loving forever home she so deserves.

Dahlia thrives with companionship and would do best in a home with other animals to play with and learn from.

Training & Support

Dahlia is a pro at using a doggy door for potty breaks and is currently learning leash training. Like many young dogs, she's still working through some puppy habits and is getting the hang of crate training. Providing her with plenty of toys and enrichment will greatly aid her success. She's curious and still learning about the world, so a family excited to continue her training and help her grow will be ideal.

Transporation

Dahlia is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be arranged to your state or a neighboring state. Pickup locations for transported dogs may vary. We coordinate with transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You can track your dog's transport using the Life360 app and will receive updates along the way. Facebook chats are also available for transport tracking.
