Meet Gomer, a spirited Beagle mix under two years old who's ready to bring boundless joy into your life! Gomer is a graduate of our Paws Behind Bars - Luther Luckett Correctional Complex Dog Training Program, where he learned valuable skills. His former family loved him dearly and had to make the difficult decision to surrender him after an unexpected eviction. Gomer is an upbeat and affectionate companion who approaches every day with enthusiasm and a grateful heart. He's mastered basic obedience, is house-trained, and walks wonderfully on a leash. While he has the classic Beagle knack for being easily distracted by interesting scents and sights, his personality is truly infectious, and his joyful outlook is contagious! Weighing in at about 40 pounds, he's the ideal size for all your adventures.

Gomer thrives on companionship and loves to be with his people. His curious nature and keen nose mean he'll be delighted by a home where he can explore safely.

Gomer is a healthy young dog with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Gomer is well-trained in basic obedience and is house-trained. His Beagle heritage means he can sometimes be easily distracted by interesting smells, so continued positive reinforcement and engagement will help him focus.
