Cocoa - Cross Post

Cocoa is a sweet 9-year-old Ibizan Hound/Terrier mix who is looking for a foster home. She has been with her family since she was a puppy and is now facing a transition. Cocoa gets along well with other dogs and is well-loved by the staff at the boarding facility she has visited over the years. She's a straightforward dog – what you see is what you get! Cocoa is in her golden years and has a comfortable routine. She enjoys treats and could benefit from losing a few pounds. She has seasonal skin allergies and takes a mild anti-anxiety medication, but is otherwise in good health for her age. Cocoa can be a little reserved at first, but once she warms up, she will be a loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Cocoa would thrive in a quiet home without children and with a minimum number of visitors. She should do well in a multi-dog household, but her compatibility with cats is unknown.

Ongoing Health

Cocoa has seasonal skin allergies and is on a mild anti-anxiety medication.

Training & Support

Cocoa may need some time to warm up to new people due to her initial "get off my lawn" demeanor. Patience and a calm environment will help her feel comfortable and trust her new humans.
