Meet Silverthorne Boerboels. Silverthorne Kennel is located Northwest of Houston, TX and we breed working/sporting/show South African Boerboels. We are an AKC Breeder of Merit, compete at AKC national specialties, AKC nationals, and Westminster, as well as nationally in a multitude of sport and trial venues. It is our mission to strive to breed to the standard, preserve the breed's historic purposes, and to help bring a community of education so our puppy customers can be introduced to healthy activities with their puppies as well as reach for personal goals in performance. Pups are current on shots, worming, and are microchipped with AKC reunite. AKC/UKC registration is offered. Pups have been extensively socialized, gone through neuro stimulation techniques in the early weeks as well as been exposed to cars/travel/agility/noises and socialized with other dogs. They all get evaluated conformationally and temperamentally by breed experts. Show and pet prospects available. We do take puppies back if needed, and we support national and local breed rescues. We also provide education and training opportunities for puppy owners interested in starting or competing in sports and conformation. We do have private groups where puppy owners discuss puppy milestones, health and training. Parents are OFA tested, lifetime support of clients is offered to those approved. Approved homes only. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
