Rufus

Rufus is a 1.8-year-old mixed-breed mystery, likely with a blend of Lab and Cattle Dog, and perhaps a few other breeds sprinkled in. He was rescued just in time from a kill shelter, and he is 100% sweetness with a sturdy frame, soulful eyes, and an endlessly gentle heart. Rufus is kind and social, fantastic with other dogs of all sizes, and has shown no aggression towards farm animals. He loves to gently greet pigs through fences and is a joy on a leash, walking calmly and attentively. Rufus is also a total lovebug, freely giving kisses and leaning into his people for affection.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive but has already started slow-kill treatment. This diagnosis is part of his healing journey.

Training & Support

Rufus is wonderful on a leash and eager to please. His gentle nature and desire for affection mean he is ready to bond with his new family.
