A little about them
Takis is a tiny, loving puppy with a big heart. He adores his people, loves being held, and is happiest snuggled close or quietly keeping you company. After being found on the roadside in New Mexico with his siblings at about five weeks old, he has grown into a happy, active puppy who is ready for a devoted home.
Ideal Home
Takis has done wonderfully with children ages 7–14 and has been fostered with two older, larger dogs. He enjoys playing with crinkle toys and would love to be someone’s affectionate little shadow.
Ongoing Health
Takis has megaesophagus, a lifelong condition present from birth that requires careful feeding management to help prevent regurgitation and recurrent pneumonia. His care may include upright feeding or a Bailey chair, along with daily prescription sildenafil; dosing will need adjustment as he grows and gains weight. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and fixed in accordance with Colorado law when available.
Training & Support
Takis is still working on potty training and does best when taken outside regularly, though accidents are still part of puppy life. He has not yet started crate training.
