Meet Pierson!

This handsome guy was surrendered by his owner at county. Poor guy was not doing well. He was so scared. He had lived his whole life with his person and now he was in a loud kennel. After a couple weeks of decompression and a spa day, Pierson is doing great! His personality has finally come back! He loves to look out the windows of his foster home and enjoys the zoomies with his beagle foster sibling. He does great at the groomers and is using the dog door. He was kenneled when he first arrived but has proved to be a great housemate, so he now gets to hang on the couch. He does sleep in his kennel at night. Pierson is all about the snuggles and walks on a leash like a pro. He also loves car rides – open your door or hatch and he will hop right in! He would make a great hiking/walking buddy! Pierson showed no interest in toys but has now decided he likes them.

Ideal Home

Pierson is a bit of a counter surfer and will try to make an escape, but these are fixable behaviors. When he tried to escape, a stern "no" made him stop. He is a big dude, so kids with dog experience would be best.

Ongoing Health

Pierson is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Pierson is learning to curb his counter-surfing tendencies and escape attempts. Children in the home should have dog experience due to Pierson's size.
