Umi

Meet Umi! This sweet, 7-8 month old German Shepherd mix is around 45 lbs of pure joy and affection. Despite a tough start as a tiny, abandoned puppy, Umi has blossomed into a trusting and loving companion. She's a pro on walks, loves exploring, and is always ready to greet new friends with a wagging tail. Umi is playful and energetic, with an endless supply of enthusiasm for running and playing. While she's still learning and enjoys a good chew (as many pups do!), she's eager to please and will thrive with guidance and plenty of exercise. She’s a little wary of fireworks and isn't a fan of cats, but her sweet nature truly shines through in all that she does. Umi is ready to bring boundless energy and endless cuddles to her forever family!

Ideal Home

Umi would do best in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a tall, fenced backyard. She needs a family with the patience and understanding to help a rescued dog adjust to a new environment, and experience with dog behavior and training is a plus.

Ongoing Health

Umi is up-to-date on her vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested for heartworm (negative) and other common diseases (4DX test). She is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention (Nexgard Spectra). She has a certificate of health and a vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Umi is not house-trained. Like many puppies, she is still learning and enjoys chewing. She will need consistent guidance, plenty of exercise, and playtime to help her thrive and learn appropriate behaviors. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.

Transportation

Umi is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Transport to the East Coast of the United States is available through a partnered transport company. There is a one-time transport fee of $400 USD. The transport process includes scheduled trips, a dedicated transport team, all necessary legal and health documentation, and door-to-door delivery.
