At around 4 years old and 45-50 pounds, Ducky approaches life with one very important mission: making sure every person she meets feels properly greeted. In Ducky's world, strangers are just friends she hasn't said hello to yet. She loves everyone she meets, hands out kisses freely, and firmly believes that snuggling is an important life skill. Ducky is the total package! She's great with other dogs, great with kids, potty trained, rides beautifully in the car, and walks great on a leash. Always up for an adventure, whether you're heading out for a hike, grabbing lunch at a dog-friendly brewery, going camping, or just taking a stroll around the neighborhood, Ducky is happy to come along. What's most remarkable about Ducky isn't how wonderful she is—it's everything she's overcome. Not long ago, Ducky was living on the streets of Mexico, fighting a battle with distemper that she had every reason to lose. But this sweet girl refused to give up. Today, her treatment is complete. She's healthy, happy, and doesn't require any special medical care. If you met her now, you'd never know how difficult her past was. You'd just see a dog whose tail never stops wagging, whose heart is wide open, and who somehow came through so much hardship without losing her love for people. Ducky spent the first chapter of her life surviving. We think it's time the next chapter was all about being loved.
