Scarecrow

Scarecrow is an absolutely gorgeous three-year-old yellow Lab who was found dumped on the street with another dog. After roaming for two weeks, they were brought to the shelter, and then into rescue. He has blossomed in rescue and is a typical Lab in every other way. He gets along well with everyone he meets after introductions are made and he is assured they are a friend. Treats make this process a breeze! Scarecrow loves retrieving Frisbees or tennis balls but doesn't get upset if other dogs snag them before he does.

Ideal Home

Scarecrow would do best in an adult-only home with an experienced dog owner. He needs a home where he won't feel the need to protect barriers.

Ongoing Health

We suspect Scarecrow's vision in one eye might not be as good as the other, which can sometimes affect his ability to catch.

Training & Support

Scarecrow exhibits protective behavior when someone is on the other side of a barrier. We are unsure if this is trained behavior or something he developed on his own. He will not back down until the perceived threat has gone. He is very committed to this role.
