Groot is a 45-pound, long-legged goober who has somehow appointed himself the Head of the Welcome Committee and Assistant Manager of your household. He’s a backyard explorer, a quality control specialist, and a morale officer all rolled into one. Groot’s enormous ears are always listening, whether it’s for a squirrel breaking neighborhood regulations or just for the sound of you opening a bag of treats. He loves to run, explore, and investigate the great outdoors, and he has an absolutely infectious enthusiasm for meeting other dogs. He truly blossoms with canine companionship and would love a home with another playful dog to share his adventures with. For such an important job, Groot has impeccable manners. He is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several commands like sit, lay down, give paw, "go eat," "go outside," and "go for a walk." He's a quick learner who thrives on praise and genuinely wants to please. One of his sweetest habits is bringing you his toys and gently placing them in your lap, not because he wants anything, but because he thought you should have it. He’s sweet, playful, and funny without even realizing it. Groot is the kind of dog who quietly changes your everyday life, becoming the reason you smile when you pull into the driveway and the reason your house feels full.
Ideal Home
Groot would thrive in a home with another playful dog. We recommend homes with children 10 years and older to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Transporation
Groot is currently being fostered in MA and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.
