About Ledger

Ledger came from a confiscate case with other puppies and a sweet loving fellow who craves to be held and cuddled. He is playful and outgoing and looking for a home.

He is roughly 6 months old and 30 pounds and will make a great companion dog!

He currently weighs in at an impressive 30 pounds at the beginning of April 2026.

Ledger loves the water and is a collector of antique rocks and flip flops. He loves to help garden by pulling all of your weeds for you.

He is crate trained but prefers the comforts of a bed or couch. Ledger is the bestest boy and will be a great addition to your home.

Foster Update 5/23/2026:

Well, here's Ledger. He's probably about 6 1/2 months old. He'll be seven months from what you guys have told me on 8 June. He's been with us for quite a while and has gotten very attached not only to me but to my Frenchies. So we need to work on getting him a home. Or he's gonna have issues. When he first came to us he had some eating aggression and I think that stems from him coming from a hoarding home. We've been working on that and he's doing a lot better knock on wood because I don't allow aggression, especially when it comes to food because there's plenty of food.

Ledger is not a real snuggly kind of guy. But he likes to be where his humans are. He plays with my youngest Frenchie a lot, the other two are 8 and 9 so they'll play now and then but not a lot like Kevon will, he's five. Ledger, like the other Foster said, will tolerate the crate. He cries, carries on, but then he settles. He's not allowed to get out of the crate until he calms down. Ledger prefers a soft bed to lay his head on at night. His love language is touch. I think he was a archaeologist in another life because he brings me rocks. I think they're his lucky rocks. I've kept one that he seems to be attached to. He's also found a rug that a previous owner of the house must have buried. So occasionally parts of that rug make it into the home.

Ledger also likes his little kitty pool. Well it used to be a kid sandbox but now it's the Dog's pool. I'd be interested to see what he would do with a full-size pool and or the beach. He was not a toy kind of guy at the beginning, but now the toy boxes get emptied regularly.

Ledger is not a kisser or a licker. He will sniff your face now and then and give you a boop.

Ledger is a smart boy learns rather quickly. We're working on shaking and staying. Still not real good on the leash. Here's a big Plus... only took him a week and a half to be potty trained but he is potty trained with a doggie door and he also learned from my Frenchies. And yes, he can still fit out their doggie door.

Uodate 5/29/2026:

Ledger is the dog who will make you wonder how you ever lived without him.

At just 6/7 months old, he's everything people say they're looking for in a puppy—except he's already made it through ALL the hard parts.

House trained uses doggie door

Crate trained

Sleeps through the night in bed or his crate

Knows sit, stay, and leave it

Great with other dogs

Shares food space politely with his foster sister

Loves his doggy pool

Ledger is smart, quick to learn, and an absolute joy to live with. He's not much of a kisser, but he's a professional nose-booper and expert companion. The kind of dog who just fits into your life.

He's had two potential adopters fall through sadly and now his foster term is ending in four days, and Ledger needs somewhere to go. He came from a 60 dog confiscation and his light has never dimmed not even once!

We know his family is out there. We know someone is looking for a dog exactly like him.

They just haven't found him yet.

Let's change that.
